Homestead Affordable Housing (HAH), Inc.
We were formed in 1998 by a group of committed affordable housing professionals throughout Kansas.

Mission
Our mission is to develop affordable housing and help rural Kansas communities achieve sustainable development.

Organization
Governed by a board of directors that sets direction and policy, HAH is is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, certified by the State of Kansas as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO).

Tom BishopTom Bishop, Executive Director

Tom is the founding member and Executive Director of Homestead Affordable Housing. Prior to Homestead, Tom was President and Chief Executive Officer of Mennonite Housing in Wichita, KS and also worked for Housing Assistance Council, Inc. for a short time.







Terri Bradshaw

Terri Bradshaw, Director of Property Management

Terri is the Director of Property Management. She has been affiliated with Homestead since 1998 as a board member. She joined the staff in 2005. She oversees all aspects of Homestead’s multi-family projects.  Prior to working for Homestead, Terri worked for Hardage Enterprises as the Vice-President of Property management overseeing 500,000 square feet of commercial properties in Kansas and California.  She then joined Mennonite Housing as the Director of Property Management and Development where she oversaw the operations.  Terri received her B.S. in Business Administration from Friends University in 2001. Her professional designations include COS, CHM, SBBS, TCS, CMM, USDA R.D. 515 S.T.A.R. Recipient, and Kansas Real Estate Broker.




Lois PeltonLois Pelton, Financial Manager

Lois was added to the staff in August 2008 as Financial Manager.  Prior to Homestead Affordable Housing, Lois worked for Jackson County Kansas for thirty-four years, the last eight as a County Commissioner.  Besides being a commissioner she held part time jobs in Business Finance. Lois is a Certified Public Manager and earned her associates degree from Highland Community College in May of 2008.  She started working with affordable housing as a volunteer on the executive board of Northeast Kansas Community Action Program (NEK-CAP) from 2001-2008.  Lois has served as volunteer on many county service boards and enjoys helping people and communities.  She is a believer that helping people makes a better community for everyone.


Trish McAllisterTrish McAllister, Single Family Program Manager

Trish recently joined the staff at Homestead as the Single Family Program Manager.  Prior to Homestead Affordable Housing, Trish worked for Kansas Housing Resources Corporation as a Senior Housing Officer for the State of Kansas. Her last duties included overseeing construction of various state Rental Developments and managing the state Homeowner Rehabilitation Program. Other areas she served in include Section 8 Project Administration Compliance. Trish also has experience in property management and real estate sales. She has served on the City of Holton’s Zoning Board and many other community boards.  She holds many professional designations which include COS, CPO and FHC.
