Homestead Wamego will be located near many shopping a community services. It will include 32 new senior apartments and an activity center. The central activity center contains activity and craft areas, library with internet access, dining area for community meals and gatherings, and the manager's office.
The 26 two bedroom and 6 one bedroom apartment homes are arranged in four unit buildings, each unit with porch area and private entrances. Some two bedroom units have single car garages with private patios. Paved walking paths connect buildings and outside activity areas.
The apartment homes meet the Model Energy Code, are well insulated with quality central heat and air conditioning. The units all have washer/dryer hooke-ups and walk-in closets. The bathrooms feature grab bars around the shower and toilet area. The kitchen features include a refrigerator, stove, and built-in dishwasher.
